Event Details

Sarah Rickman of Colorado, noted author and former Centerville Library trustee, will visit the library to launch the second edition release of her first book, “The Originals: The Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron of WWII,” (Braughler Books, 2017).

"The Originals," first published in 2001, was born when Rickman met pilot Nancy Batson Crews here in Centerville at the International Women's Air & Space Museum. Crews was one of the earliest women, known as WASP, to fly for the U.S. Army in World War II. Sarah’s association with Crews inspired her to write what is now eight books about the WASP pilots. Copies of Rickman’s works will be available for purchase.
