Teen Job Fair

If you’re interested in getting a job, or hoping to get one this summer, the time to look is now! Come to the Teen Job Fair and get information and applications from local businesses hoping to hire teens.  Open to grades 9 - 12.  Please note this is a drop-in program; you may come at anytime between 2:00 and 3:30. 

Participating businesses include:  Laser Web Dayton, Goldfish Swim School, Centerville-Washington Park District, Graeters, Mike's Car Wash, MCL Cafeteria, Town Hall Theatre/Rec West, Bethany Village, Country Club Landscaping, Seibenthalers, and St. Leonard.

Heroin & Opiates: Taking the Next Steps

Two years ago, our Library focused on the rising epidemic of heroin and opiate use in Ohio suburbs. Tonight, learn how to take the next steps in conquering the devastating consequences of opiate addiction involving those we love. Presented in partnership with Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County and Montgomery County ADAMHS.
For Adults & High School Students. Parental discretion is advised.

Topics covered include:
  • Updates on the status of heroin & opiate usage in the U.S., Ohio, and Montgomery County;
  • How to talk to someone about drug use and what resources are available for those grappling with addiction;
  • Critical steps necessary to not only save a life but to begin the road to recovery.
Resources and handouts will be available to take home, or distribute to other groups in our community.
