Winter Reading Club: Eclipse Edition

Take part in the Winter Reading Club: Eclipse Edition for some cold weather fun! The club offers something for kids, teens, and adults. Visit the Winter Reading Club page for more information. 

Kids (Preschool – Grade 5): Complete 30 hours of reading by March 2nd to earn a free book and be entered to win an out-of-this world prize basket! When you reach 15 hours, you can come into the Library and get a pair of eclipse glasses and a small prize.

Teens (Grades 6 - 12): Complete 20 hours of reading by March 2nd to be entered to win a Moon or Sun prize pack! When you reach 10 hours, you can come into the Library and get a pair of eclipse glasses and a sweet treat!

Adults (Ages 18+): Complete 60 hours of reading by March 2nd to be entered to win a winter-themed prize pack. When you reach 30 hours, you can come into the Library to get a pair of eclipse glasses and a small prize.

Program attendees will be provided with eclipse viewing glasses, made possible by a grant from The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Space Science Institute. One per person. While limited supplies last.

Coding: Minecraft for Beginners

Do you have a kiddo in 3rd-5th grade interested in learning about Minecraft? Join us as we learn the basics and work through Minecraft-focused block coding tutorials. For Grades 3-5. Registration is required. 

If you are unable to attend, please notify the library at least 24 hours before the program. Repeated no-shows will result in a two-month suspension from program registration. Late arrivals (15 minutes after program start), will not be admitted and will count as a no-show.

Laptops will be provided. We will be utilizing an offline version of Minecraft that requires no account and does not have chat features. 

If you are unable to attend after registering, please notify the library no fewer than 24 hours before the program. Repeated no-shows will result in a two-month suspension from program registration. Late arrivals (15 minutes after program start), will not be admitted and will count as a no-show.

Spring Storytime Registration Begins

Registration begins at 10:00 AM for baby and toddler storytimes at Centerville and Woodbourne libraries. Come in, call, or register online. For baby and toddler storytimes, please register for only one storytime from the choices listed on our calendar between March 4-7.* When you register for that one date, you are automatically registered for that day and time for the entire six-week session.**

*There will be no storytimes the week of March 25-28.

**Registration is not required for elementary, preschool or family storytimes.
