First offered in 1974, Summer Reading Club launches today! The club offers something for babies & toddlers, kids, teens, and adults. You can get started at 10 AM today!

Babies & Toddlers (Newborn – 36 months) – Complete early literacy activities with your child to earn a free board book and be eligible for the prize drawing!

Kids (Preschool – Grade 5) - Read (and/or listen) to 60 books or for 30 hours to earn a free book and be eligible for the prize drawing!

Teens entering grades 6-12 - All teens participating have the chance to win prizes just for reading, including: Target and Amazon gift cards, Kings Island tickets, and themed prize packs! Please register and submit reading entries online.

Adults (Ages 18+) - With the Book Bingo Challenge, track books read or programs attended to be entered for the chance to win a variety of gift cards or prize packs throughout the summer! Please register online.

This outdoor program is dependent on weather conditions. Please check the Library Facebook page or the Centerville-Washington Parks District web site for cancellation information. Open to all ages. Registration through the Centerville-Washington Park District is recommended, but not required. You may bring your own blanket to cuddle up with, and be sure to dress accordingly as it will be outside. Please use the Smith House entrance.

Some of our favorite songs and rhymes can be found on this rhyme sheet. If you'd like, feel free to use it to follow along during storytime. Were also going to be using a shaky egg, so if you have any type of shaker at home, have it handy. If not, you can make a homemade shaker by putting dry beans or rice in a water bottle or plastic container. 


We will be using Zoom for this program. In order to use Zoom, you will need a computer or the Zoom app downloaded to your mobile device. The link to join the event will be emailed to you prior to start of storytime. If you don't see it, be sure to check your junk mail. Registration required.
