First Day of Summer Reading Club!

First offered in 1974, Summer Reading Club launches today! The club offers something for babies & toddlers, kids, teens, and adults. You can get started at 8 AM today!

Babies & Toddlers (Newborn – 36 months) - This club focuses on daily early literacy activities that the parent and child do together. Earn a free board book when you've completed the club!

Kids (Preschool – Grade 5)
- Track the number of books or hours read, depending on your reading level. Even parents or siblings reading to a child counts! After completion of the club, earn a free book and be automatically entered into a drawing for a $15 Amazon gift card! 

Teens entering grades 6-12 - All teens participating have the chance to win prizes just for reading, including: Target and Amazon gift cards, Kings Island tickets, and themed prize packs! Please register and submit reading entries online. 

Adults (Ages 18+) - Join others in participating in the annual Community Read and visit the Library to receive your Book Bingo card or print one from our website. Track books read or Summer Experience programs attended to be entered for the chance to win a variety of literary-themed prizes, including Kindles!

Virtual Family Trivia Night

Enjoy a family-friendly virtual trivia night! There will be five rounds with ten questions each. See if your family can be the top family! For 3rd - 12th graders and their families. Please register online. One registration per family. Please note the number of family members participating, but do not register each individual family member.  

We will be using Cisco Webex and Google Forms for this program. In order to use Webex, you will need a computer or the Cisco Webex Meetings app downloaded to your phone. Please be sure to have at least one device to participate, but if possible, we suggest having two - one for the video/audio portion through Webex and one to submit responses through Google Forms. You will receive an email with instructions and the link to join Webex prior to the program.

Tween Tinker Lab: Balloon Cars

Start your balloon engines and get ready to be blown away! Use your engineering skills and some simple physics to build a balloon-powered car from recycled materials. For Grades 4 - 7. Registration is required. 

NOTE: This program is being offered in person at the Woodbourne Library. For safety, all participants are required to wear face coverings and stay at least 6 feet apart from other participants. Limited seating will be available.

Supplies will be provided and will be available to pick up at the Centerville or Woodbourne Library Children's Desk June 12 - June 19. If you're unable to pick up the kit by the deadline, please call us at (937) 433-8091 opt. 3 to let us know. After the deadline, the kits will be offered to anyone on the waiting list. For grades 4 - 7. Registration required.
