Genealogy Interest Group

Meet informally to discuss genealogy, use the library’s genealogy databases (Ancestry and Fold3), and learn from each other. If you would like to bring your own laptop or devices you are more than welcome to, however, we will have all 12 Information Stations reserved for this event and attendees. This is not an genealogy instruction workshop but the presenter will be able to provide general guidance with the genealogy databases and resources.

If you are wanting more in-depth help with the library's genealogy resources and databases, please consider a Book-a-Librarian Session. These are hour long, one-on-one sessions with an Adult Services Librarian. Genealogy Workshop (2-SESSION CLASS)

Please note this class will be broken into 2 two-hour sessions at the Woodbourne Program Room East. Session 1 will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and will be a workshop, teaching you about the Library’s free genealogical databases and how to navigate them.  Session 2 will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, and will be your chance to put into practice what you have learned in Session1.
